Building Your Care Team

By Dr Kelcie Rosendhal & Dr Emily Wiggins

We wanted to chat about the importance of building a multi-specialty care team and some of our favorite Central Oregon providers.

When addressing chronic illness or even just working towards optimal health, having a team of practitioners to support you is essential. This ensures that you have your bases covered in a holistic way.

We love it when our patients work with other providers and especially practitioners that share a similar approach and philosophy in their practice. We see huge benefits and faster healing when our patients have a cohesive care team because it ensure they are supported in their minds, body’s and spirits in the highest way possible.

Others modalities that we find best support our patients include:

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic therapy addresses the proper functioning of the nervous system through tending to the alignment and positioning of the bones, particularly the spine, pelvis and cranium.

The brain and nervous system regulates all other systems within your body and its ability to communicate properly with all these systems is incredibly important. This helps support proper development and adaptation in young, growing bodies and resiliency, improved healing capacity and nervous system regulation in adults.

Our favorite chiropractors in the Central Oregon area include:

Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs support the appropriate flow of life force energy/Chi through the different meridians in the body. By addressing imbalances and blockages in the organ systems of the body, vital nutrients and circulation is restored and harmony is brought back to the system.

Many people think of acupuncture just for physical pain but it is also incredible for hormone balance, digestive conditions and metabolic concerns. It works in a very different way from Naturopathic and Western herbal philosophies and complements beautifully the work we do with our patients.

Our favorite acupuncturists in the Central Oregon area are:

Physical Therapy

The way we are physically in our bodies informs a lot of what we are able to do in our lives. Physical Therapy can help you move better, heal injuries and help create better range of motion and movement, which allows you to increase your comfort and abilities in your great life.

That might look like prescribed exercises to help your body heal from pregnancy, pelvic floor therapy to support digestive issues or pelvic pain, or strengthening movements to allow you to get up and down off the floor so you can play with your grandchildren.

PT is very goal oriented and can be very complimentary to some of the other work that we do with our clients to help them lives their best lives.

PTs we often refer to to in Central Oregon include:

Massage and Craniosacral Therapy

These are two relaxing forms of body work with real therapeutic benefit. These modalities help to reduce stress, lessen pain and muscle tightness, increase relaxation and optimize the function of the immune system (through lymph movement).

Massage and craniosacral therapists we recommend are:
